Tips for Making Smartphone Videos

You need to get a video out quick for a message. But How do you do it without looking very unprofesisonal.

Here are some tips:

A tripod is a great start. A steady film is a good sign of quality. Try positioning the camera at eye level or slightly higher, gives a better angle and helps your videos look a bit more polished. If you’re looking down you’re hunched over and it looks as if you’re stealth filming! 😊 Yes, avoid up the nose shots. Everyone looks better from an angle shot from slightly above. Adding some text/captions + a logo can go a long way! good tip! A small transparent logo or name in the top will pay of so good for brand recognision! Depending on where you wanna post it i'd always take horizontal videos over vertical videos, always always always. But ofc when you wanna do story videos its vertical. I'd get a tripod somewhere. I bought one of amazon for my phone some weeks ago. Was about 15$ and its absolutely great, has a small bluetooth remote to toggle. With a tripod you wont need to film you in selfie mode. You get your full HD video if you have a good smartphone. As well as positioning in front of the camera, i would try to not film from below or up but have a nice straight eye level as well as dont be too close to the camera. Of course in that case of being a little further away from the camera look that your background is nice.

ou need proper lighting and angles, shooting at proper angle in general and also specific to you, search out evenly lit shade outdoors or being in front of window light indoors, never in bright hot spots in direct sun with dark shadows, camera higher and not pointed under your chin, see a professional photographer for some headshots and learn some posing techniques that you can continue to use for your videos, and depending what where video is displayed, perhaps landscape orientation, and tripod :) It's better to have the proper lighting when creating it, it's not about a filter later :D good luck! here are a few factors for creating better videos, especially when filming with mobile devices & they have nothing to do with filters, etc. • Stabilize your camera/phone • Step back away a bit from the camera • Don't film outdoors if you can help it • Film in landscape not portrait • Upgrade to better audio • Upgrade your lightning indoors when you can • Look up the rule of thirds for photography/video.

Adding graphics, etc. can help add to the video. Just a quick screen grab of one of my YouTube videos. Manage Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, beard and text 2 https://www.facebook.com/groups/socialmediamanagers/permalink/2505620809463854/

how did u add graphics. Is it a certain software? Yes. I use Adobe Premiere Pro CC however there are other apps (if you prefer) that can do similar additions. One of my favourites for mobile applications is called Videorama. I believe it's $20 for a lifetime subscription to that app. Not a bad deal at all.

Stabilize your phone. Then consider iMovie to spice up the video

In High School, the Kids Are Not All Right

With social and academic pressure mounting, a teacher shares what he’s learned about tracking his students’ mental well-being.

This article By David Tow summarizes a serious issue:

I lost my first student to suicide not long ago. The student was no longer in my class at the time, nor even at the school, but I was flooded with the expected surge of feelings: overwhelming sadness, periodic despair, compulsive frame-by-frame replays of our every interaction. I felt the loss deeply. It was unspeakably tragic—for the student’s friends and family, for me, and for the world I’d hoped the student would help shape.
"I was haunted, too—I still am—by the fear of a similar tragedy among my raw-nerved and anxious students," Tow says. "And the recent spike in teenage suicides in my area has underscored this fear sharply."
Based on my observations, the lives of the high school students I teach are hemmed in everywhere by social pressures and expectations: high-stakes testing, the looming shadow of college admissions, the fiercely competitive school system, the painful process of figuring out who you are, and the ubiquitous desire for peer acceptance. Add to this the unseen pressures—fractured or fragmented home lives, emotional or physical violence and abuse, struggles with substance use, legal problems, and the wide range of issues borne by the many immigrant communities across the country—and it makes for a period of unsustainable emotional distress. In recent weeks the constant pressure has meant dealing with student depression almost daily, and helping support those who I feel might be toeing the line of self-harm.

An Amazing Day at Leadership Retreat '16 in Cancun

The energy was high at General Session
Friday 3/4/16: CEO Troy McClain and an all-star cast of speakers, motivators and trainers are making a miracle happen!

Many people are in Cancun for an event of a lifetime. How exciting it is to be at the place of the very roots of where the Global Information Network (GIN) began! Over the next few days, members are exposed to lots of great information that will be life-changing.

Check out some of today's highlights of this amazing experience at GIN '16 Leadership Retreat in Cancun, Mexico at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort!

The mood is absolutely electric in this unparalleled community of like-minded individuals who nurture success.

Magic, love and posh atmosphere
Spirituality began the day at a Patenaude Sunrise Meditation Session. Next, health was manifested at Patenaude Warrior Fitness Express Workout. Then the Level VI Meeting set a tone for success. The Platinum and Sanctioned Speaker Meeting followed, bringing joy and wealthy vibrations. Members later mingled in the magic and posh atmosphere of the White Hot Party.

In the evening, the General Session raised the frequency for everyone!

GIN is a private membership club was formed in November 2009, by a group of very successful people. The purpose of the club is to enable people to "Be, Do and Have" whatever they want in life. This a global club and has Members and Associates in more than 150 countries. In short, we are a very unique success club, unlike any club that has ever been formed before.

GIN faculty member Don Boyer said:

Absorb all the energy, vibration and knowledge while you are there. I wanted to personally tell each of you that Melinda will be representing both of us in Cancun.

As many of you know, last year, we launched production on a brand-new film called The Knowing. I am on the final deadline cuts and must finish the project this week, which means I am staying behind to complete my contractual, moral and ethical obligation on this film.
Everyone looked sharp at the White Hot Party
It is very hard for me to stay home and miss this event, but my energy is with you all and Melinda will be there in full-swing representing both of us. Make sure you track her down and give her a big hug.
I wanted to be the one to personally share this with each of you so that there is no misunderstanding why Melinda is there without me. Enjoy the event; your life will be changed forever. For all those who did not go to this event, make sure you stay plugged in and keep your fire burning red hot with excitement.

The family atmosphere is warm and inviting. People are enjoying beaches, boating, networking and all of the success workshops, meetings, music, dancing and world-class speakers. This event is bound to become a classic that will have wonderful ripple effects for years to come.

Check back here to follow the excitement all weekend!
