Tips for Making Smartphone Videos

You need to get a video out quick for a message. But How do you do it without looking very unprofesisonal.

Here are some tips:

A tripod is a great start. A steady film is a good sign of quality. Try positioning the camera at eye level or slightly higher, gives a better angle and helps your videos look a bit more polished. If you’re looking down you’re hunched over and it looks as if you’re stealth filming! 😊 Yes, avoid up the nose shots. Everyone looks better from an angle shot from slightly above. Adding some text/captions + a logo can go a long way! good tip! A small transparent logo or name in the top will pay of so good for brand recognision! Depending on where you wanna post it i'd always take horizontal videos over vertical videos, always always always. But ofc when you wanna do story videos its vertical. I'd get a tripod somewhere. I bought one of amazon for my phone some weeks ago. Was about 15$ and its absolutely great, has a small bluetooth remote to toggle. With a tripod you wont need to film you in selfie mode. You get your full HD video if you have a good smartphone. As well as positioning in front of the camera, i would try to not film from below or up but have a nice straight eye level as well as dont be too close to the camera. Of course in that case of being a little further away from the camera look that your background is nice.

ou need proper lighting and angles, shooting at proper angle in general and also specific to you, search out evenly lit shade outdoors or being in front of window light indoors, never in bright hot spots in direct sun with dark shadows, camera higher and not pointed under your chin, see a professional photographer for some headshots and learn some posing techniques that you can continue to use for your videos, and depending what where video is displayed, perhaps landscape orientation, and tripod :) It's better to have the proper lighting when creating it, it's not about a filter later :D good luck! here are a few factors for creating better videos, especially when filming with mobile devices & they have nothing to do with filters, etc. • Stabilize your camera/phone • Step back away a bit from the camera • Don't film outdoors if you can help it • Film in landscape not portrait • Upgrade to better audio • Upgrade your lightning indoors when you can • Look up the rule of thirds for photography/video.

Adding graphics, etc. can help add to the video. Just a quick screen grab of one of my YouTube videos. Manage Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, beard and text 2 https://www.facebook.com/groups/socialmediamanagers/permalink/2505620809463854/

how did u add graphics. Is it a certain software? Yes. I use Adobe Premiere Pro CC however there are other apps (if you prefer) that can do similar additions. One of my favourites for mobile applications is called Videorama. I believe it's $20 for a lifetime subscription to that app. Not a bad deal at all.

Stabilize your phone. Then consider iMovie to spice up the video
